Beauty in Wisconsin

This beautiful park has great biking and biking trails. There is plenty of wild life and great play areas for the children. It's a beautiful rolling terrain park!

We hike, kayak and cross country ski at willow River State Park, depending on the season. The trails are great and the waterfall is beautiful. There are times we have swam in the water near the waterfall on a nice summer day.

This park has it all. During the warm months, come for hiking, walking paths, beautiful views, gorgeous waterfalls, swimming, playground equipment, picnic tables, and barbeque grills. During the snowy months, find those same beautiful views, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, candlelight trails, and much more! The falls can get pretty wild, and many people swim in them although I have only... More

Visit at least monthly, year road. Bummer in the winter that so many trails are ski only. Beautiful views, rushing water and falls, wildlife.

Can be a challenge, but so worth it. Several entrances you can choose from. The short hike has an extremely steep hill to go down then back up. Or once down you may hike the long way around. There are several different hikes you can do. The falls are beautiful. You are allowed to enter the water and sit under... More

This park has nice walking trails but the trail to the falls is worth the walk unless you have a problem with walking distances. Also you will encounter a huge hill coming back so be aware of that. The lake is almost nonexistent since they removed the dam. It makes the park less attractive. They are replacing the dam in... More

This is an unexpected place to visit for being so close to a Metropolitan area, (Minneapolis). But it's superb for so many reasons. The wildlife is right there and I wish people did not jump in the falls. We have to preserve places like this because they are rare or you have to travel 6 hours to find them. I... More

Nice park with plenty of Wooded sites for privacy or shade. Was good for fishing crappie and other pan fish haven't been there in about 4 years though . Own an adult family home and the last time we were there they wouldn't let us use the handicap bathroom which we always used in the past and never had any... More

This park has been our second home for 11 years. We live in Hudson, so it is like a huge playground just about in our backyard! We come solo, or just my husband and I, or with our kids, but almost always include our dog! This park is enormous!!! There are so many trails, and places off trail to explore.... More

One of the best State Parks we've camped at! The falls in the fall are amazing and our kids had a great time hiking the trails. Camp sites are clean and quiet. We will be back!
