I mean, seriously, how can you *not* stop at place that has a giant muskie outside? I thought this stop would be a lark for merely that, but I ended up really getting drawn into the displays inside the museum -- both the collections of...More

Our family fishes and we were in Hayward for other reasons, but it was raining so we decided to stop. Surprised to find an $8 per person entrance fee. Collection and lures are large. Displays are dusty and semi-professional (not all items are labeled and...More

There are so many neat old things to see. I am not much into fishing, but I enjoyed seeing the huge collection of everything fishing. It is nice to see these old items being preserved and well taken care of for everyone to enjoy.

I am not into fishing, so I did not enjoy this as much as my friends did. They had a lot of neat looking fish mounts, and the large fish in the middle of the place was really neat.

The property itself is beautiful and nice to see. Buildings could use a little updating and maintenance.

This is a really neat museum if you are a fishing nut. Been coming here since I was a child. My Dads old fishing club patch is even in there! Look for the Fish Hawks patch!!

If a visit to Northern Wisconsin is in your plans, then a picture with the absolutely huge Muskie is something to do in between larger activities. The facility offers multiple attractions for younger children and a great history of fishing practices and equipment.

Lots of things to see. North American fishing records. Antique motors, reels and lures. We love having our picture taken at the top of the muskie. Plenty of picture taking opportunities.

I'm a fishing fanatic. This was my third visit in about 30 years. It is well maintained and real nice but much the same as it was when I was a kid. It's a pilgrimage if you are a fisherman. It's an old school museum...More
