This is a very nice park. Big ponds. Excellent location to explore, hike and walk. We relaxed on the very nice deck at the golf course clubhouse. Highly recommend. Will be back to check out the beer garden.

Whitnall Park has many picnic areas. Picnic Area 1 has a Beer Garden open daily. A great spot to meet with friends and meet new friends. Can get a little crowded at times. Many varieties of beer available and food.

This park is large but well maintained, great walking trails, we often saw deer, and lots of birds, the kids like rolling down a grassy hill there

It is great to walk through on a bright sunny day. Beautiful walk in nature. Playground for the kids. Weekly free concerts in the park on Thursdays in the summer.

Easy walk from the parking lot to the falls. We went in the winter. The frozen trees surrounding the falls made for a beautiful backdrop for pictures. There are several trails starting at around a mile, which is perfect for a hike with small children....More

Forsythia bloom on year old wood. If you have an older plant and you haven't been pruning it back, it won't bloom. Sometimes, after a particularly hard winter, the plants won't bloom the following spring.

There are several picnic areas with park- authorized grills already at Whitnall. We have used them often, but be prepared for a crowd on weekends. Enjoy!
