Parfrey's Glen is near Devil's Lake State Park, and provides another hiking experience to view some of Wisconsin's best nature scenery. Navigating your way across a stream, exploring some of the caves in the bluffs, and finishing it off with the waterfall make for a good day.

Was a little disappointed that I couldn't convince my traveling partner to hike back to the waterfall. However, it was really cold today and I can understand why she didn't want to get her feet and shoes wet. I did almost take off a star due to the states decision to not re build the last part of the trail... More

I found this while driving by & am glad I did. This is an easy to medium hike you will need to get your shoes wet/cross water & climb some rocks if you want to see the waterfall at the end. Bring extra shoes along as yours will be wet. - it was quite warm when we were there so... More

We live about an hour from here and i had never been here until yesterday. It was well worth the trip. The hike in is very easy and you can see parts of the beautiful glen without having to do much climbing. If you want to go all the way back, you will have to climb rocks and get wet,... More

Excellent for sure! Beautiful walk to the waterfall but can be treacherous if you don't pay attention. Past a certain point it's no longer part of the Glen and you will be in water, walking on rocks and climbing boulders to get to the last part. Wear good hiking shoes and be careful but totally worth the fun experience.

The canyon portion is about a 15 minute walk from the parking lot down a trail. There is a spot where you will need to hop rocks over a shallow creek. After this point, you are about a minute away. If you have water shoes, or are willing to get your shoes/feet wet, you can climb further up the creek,... More

Wonderful walk through the woods! Layer up just in case. Trees, ferns, flowers, dells can all be found during a short, peaceful, nearly perfect hike.

Prepare yourself, you will not believe this is so close to Madison! You start off by walking through the woods wondering what the excitement is all about. Soon, the rocks and boulders will reveal themselves. You'll hike through the ravine along the stream, climbing over boulders, until you reach the waterfall at the end. It's a brilliant and beautiful escape... More
