This is the most popular (crowded) state park, and if you can avoid summer weekends it will be a funtastic experience! The crowds can be maddening around the beaches and parking lots, but head off on a trail, and as soon as you get 1000 feet away from the crowds the peaceful nature of the park returns. Its a big... The hiking trails on the east and west side Are well marked and maintained. It has great hiking trails, with many to choose in varying degrees of difficulty. Bring snug fitting shoes that will not get rocks in them. There are great views from the top peaks, and it offers some interesting formations to check out. If you are going... More

We go to this park often. Seldom in winter. It allows for a beautiful hike around the lake, bluff hikes and prairie hikes near by. It is a great gift to Wisconsin and the people.

Devil's Lake has some really great hiking and swimming. You take a ferry with your car over the park and can spend the whole day (or a weekend camping) there. There are bath houses to change in, concessions in the summer, and plenty of parking. You can do strenuous or easier hikes and still see great scenery. Highly recommend checking... More

This is a fantastic place. Very scenic and has trails for all levels of skill. I have seen families picnicking by the lake with their children. People hiking trails, rock climbing and scuba diving. It is hard to believe that you can find all of this in the midwest

One of my favorites in wisconsin. The climb is intense but worth it! It's beautiful year round in every season. Note, make sure you have the right amount of cash with you on days when the office is closed. It's $8 if I remember right. You put the cash in an envelope and drop it in a slot.

I visited the park in the fall. I never had seen so much yellow trees at the same time. The place is good to stay all day long. You can have a picnic or climbing the hill that surrounds the lake.

Awesome, windy fall day that turned into a cold blustery winter afternoon. But was still fun! Try & find the 3 Whidbey Island Rocks we left. All painted & pretty on East bluff trail.
