Start with an 11,000 acre playground serving up the best of the mountains, however you like it. Your days here are like having dessert first. Our Village is situated atop the mountain and gives you access to spa-ing, shopping and even dancing. It all feels better at 4,848 feet.

We skied for two days and had a great time. The main Snowshoe resort has well groomed slopes. Great place for intermediate to experience skiers. I found that a lot of the green slopes are very narrow and a real challenge for a beginning skier. The Silver Creek area may have better areas for a beginner to learn, but I... More

55 degrees and the 30" base provided great skiing conditions, even after a week of warm weather. The village was quaint and well maintained, with good restaurants and bars.

I learned to ski at Snowshoe back in the late 1980's and I've been coming back ever since. I'm in the Washington DC area and there are a number of ski resorts relatively close by. No other resorts offer the level and number of slopes that snowshoe does and if you are a beginner, this is one of the best... More

Our small family of 3 visited Snowshoe Resort for the first time. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Silver Creek and Snowshoe are the same resort for 1 lift ticket and 2 seperate places on the mountain for one price. You will travel by bus from one to the other or take advantage of the free parking available and ski... More

First time at this resort, in comparison with European ski resorts this is smaller. Many snowmaking machines , handy shuttle buses between ski areas. Since this is a resort at which you ski down and get a chair lift back up ( we are used to taking a chair lift from base to top of mountain to ski back down)... More

Weather always doubtful. High temps this week but Mtn open. Can be windy and cold or granular and slush. Trying to chill, will be 60 and some rain next day or two. Goose Frah Baaa!!! New England has been hammered this year. Guess the Jay resort trip would have been better choice.

A pleasure as always. Even with the high temps. Always plenty to do after a morning ski session. Will be back soon.

Before I write this review, I will preface that I am comparing my experiences to only two other places I've been: Wintergreen, VA and Aspen, CO. The good things about this place are that there is a wide variety of runs and terrain, so there are plenty of runs to differentiate skill levels. The mountain itself is beautiful and lovely,... Do not stay at Allegheny Springs!! It is old, outdated, loud and the rooms are very small and uncomfortable!
