I went to photograph this penitentiary on one of the few days it's open to photographers only from 10-2pm. Limited to 20, but there were only a few of us on the November 2017 tour. The entire building with a few exceptions were in their...More

I went here with a couple of friends and we had SO much fun! It was creepy and redefined the meaning of “pitch black”....especially when my flashlight battery died and I was by myself. Regardless, it was a great experience!

Loved Moundsville Penitentiary and can't wait to go back again next year. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It was so fun and couldn't be any happier for visiting.

Spent my 26th birthday in moundsville with a handful of friends and had an absolute blast. I brag about this once in a lifetime experience to all of my coworkers.

It was amazing and definitely an experience! We had a wonderful tour guide who was very knowledgeable and shared her own paranormal occurrences with us. Then we set off on our own and had some very interesting conversations with the spirit residents!

I did the overnight investigation. Not only do you get an insightful tour with historical info and paranormal insights, you are free to roam and investigate on your own!! Super cool.

We went to try the overnight ghost hunt. We have done similar ones at other prisons but this was the best. The tour was 90 minutes but that still left close to 5 hours to walk around this massive prison. I highly recommend taking this...More

What a tour. CJ was awesome and extremely knowledgeable. We had an absolute blast with him. The prison is a site to see on its own but the guides make it come alive. We would of never known how the area was tied to Charles...More

I had a great time. This is a good place to go for night people, I went on this trip because I am a night shift employee, and there aren't many places to go during those hours. I did not see any paranormal activity, but...More

I wasn't aware that they allowed pets but I could see a dog moving along this tour well. I do not think we walked on stairs nor did we go into small spaces (except for the cells if we wanted to).

The place in itself looks intimidating, but there's nothing to really be scared about, especially during a day tour. It's more of how things were back in the 1800's, and the history of the building. I think an 11 year old... More

My wife and I both agree that the Trans Allegheny was an awesome tour we took during the day .. but that's not too say that Weston Penitentiary was less of an attraction. Both places were awesome to visit, however, I'd like... More
