Our group of three couples visited here last weekend. The museum area was quite interesting with many artifacts from the general area. Only two of our group actually ventured to the top of the mound, which had a very steep path to ascend. We did...More

This is a must visit if you are in the Moundsville area. This burial mound is over 2000 years old. The museum next to the mound has a plethora of information for your review. An amazing experience!

This place is extremely interesting and there. I never knew why Moundsville was named Moundsville but this cleared all of that up. Highly recommended for a visit!

Indeed, self guided with no pressure. Don't forget to see the gift shop, great marble eggs with a stand to take home! Quiet town, and do take the walk up the mound to take in the view, priceless!
