Beautiful place to wander and explore!

This is a wonderful place to wander and explore. It's private when you get down into the gardens which makes the experience there very peaceful and relaxing.

They have various events year round that are low or no cost. Beautiful gardens, interesting Red Tailed Hawk structured art piece by a local artist that blends in beautifully with the landscape, and summer camps for kids- This is a great family destination near Morgantown and Cheat Lake.

I stopped by the Botanic Garden for a walk with my 10 month old. During my visit there was a lot of construction going on due to the addition of what appears to be a new visitor center. Because of the construction the lower parking lot was closed, leaving us to park in the upper lot. There is a short... More

I visited here last weekend to go on a short hike. There are a fair amount of trails that are well maintained and it appears that they are making more improvements (like building a visitors center). It is so peaceful here and I can't wait until it gets even warmer so I can come here more often. All in all,... More

This garden is great for a relaxing walk to take in nature. Best done in the warmer months. There is construction going on to make 2016 even a better experience.

The West Virginia Botanic Garden is a hidden gem tucked unassumingly off of Tyrone Road in the Cheat Lake end of town. There are several trail options taking you on short hikes through the area. My son, a birder, loves to come here early in the mornings to see lots of birds. We've attended a few of the guided walk... More

Go here -- especially if you want a Morgantown treat. Stunning flowers, trees and tricks -- like the giant surprise bird. Easy walking, even for this 70 year-old lady with bad knees. A fine way to stroll with someone and have a private chat.

If you are a lover of flowers and plants then you need to be here late spring and all of the summer, a photographer dream and so well laid out to walk, explore or just sit awhile.

Lovely outdoor garden. My sister had her wedding (small 25 people or so) here last weekend. It was gorgeous, plenty of parking for our small group and even though it rained, everything was gorgeous and in bloom.

You have to walk down a looooong steep hill from the parking area (lower one was closing really early which sucked) and then there wasn't much in the way of flowers there. Staff was leaving and warned us of car break ins at the upper lot! Disappointed. Not sure I would call it a botanical garden, more like a walk... More
