Nice place, really enjoyed sampling the wine. Not a big fan of wine, so someone please explain to me why we left with a box full for home. You'll enjoy this place.

This was a last minute decision to stop in and visit, so glad we did! A nice variety of wines and the owner would let you taste what you wanted. We met Irene and Oscar, 2 kitties that live at the winery. Adorable! I bought 3 bottles and 2 wine glasses and took some very scenic pictures. Definitely worth a... More

A beautiful quaint setting in the rolling hills just outside of Morgantown, WV. We stopped on our way to Deep Creek Lake, MD, on a Friday afternoon. No other patrons there at the time, but the lady working there was very pleasant and welcoming. They make their own wine, rum, whisky and moonshine. Straight up, Peach and Apple Pie were... More

We were traveling back to Pittsburgh after an exciting WVU Mountaineers Football win over the Missouri Tigers. We decided what the heck google wineries near by. This one came up and we decided to stop and check it out. We tried dry whites, reds, and some semi-sweet wine. The Cab is always my favorite go to but it was alright.... More

I have visited the winery many times over the years having the privledge of living in Morgantown, where Cheat Lake Winery originated. The various wine types make it hard to choose to purchase only one bottle so I always end up leaving with my one (plus). The staff is helpful and friendly, not pushy but available to answer any questions.... More

My youngest (baby girl) was married at this location and the wedding and reception went off without a hitch. The event staff had everything set as directed and the overall experience was more then satisfactory.

I saw this place on trip advisor and noticed it on the way to my friend's house. The wine was delicious and Mary who was from my hometown was very friendly and helpful.
