Park is great for families or anyone. Very large pool for the summer. Very clean and well-maintained park. Paddle boats to rent for the lake.

I have stayed at this park in both the cabins and campground. I would recommend both. A wonderfully maintained CCC park.

This is one of the older parks in WV and a lot of work was done by the CCC. It is evident from looking around and amazing what was done in the past. There are lots of outdoors type stuff to do. Remember though there is not restaurant so be sure to take what you need ie coffee if you... More

We went here on our anniversary getaway. One thing to remember is the closest place to eat or drink is 30 min away, so bring your own coffee. Beautiful place and well worth the visit. Peaceful. We saw a bear on our walk. Very cool. Don't feed the Bears.

If I had read all the Trip Advisor reviews, I would have know there was no longer a restaurant at the park. The online digital brochure shows that there is one. Also, be sure to ask what days the pool is open during your stay. Online shows closed Monday and Tuesday, but was also closed Wednesday. Since we were there... More

We made our annual pilgrimage to Watoga with our grandkids for a weeks vacation in one of the cabins. The rhododendrons were in bloom which made the park even more beautiful. The kids love the lake, paddle boats, swimming pool and playing in the stream. We saw several bears and cubs, deer and their fawn, turtles and black snakes (not... More

My husband and I stayed at Watoga for our first year anniversary celebration. We were not disappointed. It was everything we expected and MORE! The cabins are secluded and very clean. We saw a bear with her cubs and the most tame deer I've ever seen. Within minutes of Watoga you can enjoy Droop Mountain Battlefield, Falls of Hills Creek,... More

Our family has been coming to Watoga since the 1950s. I was awed by the Park's nature then and I am still awed by its beauty 50-some years later. It is the perfect setting for getting out of the office and away from the city, for recharging oneself, and for sharing with a loved one. If you cannot put down/turn... More

What a beautiful campground. We were on the river's edge with a fire pit and peaceful quiet. It was an easy 2 mile pedal to the Greenbrier River Trail access. The roads aren't suitable for cyclists but they are excellent for motorcyclists. An added bonus is that there is no cellular service so a real get away.
