I love Holly River State Park! It is located in the hills of central West Virginia, untouched by technology and The craziness of the outside world. It is a great place for hiking or picnicking in nature. There are picnic shelters for large gatherings or smaller areas for families. You can drive to the tables or walk through the woods... More

We camped for the weekend at the state park. It is beautiful! Wooded sites near a stream with electricity. The bathrooms are clean with wonderful showers. It's a peaceful quiet area that lets you get back to nature. All the other campers were friendly and courteous and the park is great, we highly recommend holly river!

We fell in love with Holly River when camping there for 4 nights. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The sites have electric and are all well maintained. Restrooms are really clean and quite nice compared to other parks. This is a remote location and the only complaint is that you constantly hear noise from large trucks shifting into... More

Our family has been visiting Holly River State Park for years and years. It's a welcome escape from the day to day grind. Peace, quiet, and beautiful views all around. The folks are friendly here, and there are many trails to explore. We love it!

Holly River has a beautiful waterfall on a stream and many hiking trails. The park has a few other waterfalls as well. Beautiful scenery.

Holly River State Park has some of the friendliest and nicest staff of any of the Parks I've visited, and I've been all over Western New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. My 4 year old was excited to get pamphlets about the animals and insects in the park, and when Marsha at the front desk found out she dug in... More

Went to Holly River State Park, West Virginia for 4 days. It was fabulous. Ranger "Benny" and the rest of the guys and girls were fantastic. I was there on the Labour Day weekend and they put on a fair with vintage cars and stalls.I had a cabin No. 7. Was great. If you can take the time also to... More

We spent the weekend at Holly River State Park, cabin four. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Good water pressure and hot water. This is an old CCC cabin. My favorites! Love the smell they have. Hard to describe it. Old wood fires and old wood.or something. The deer are so tame it's weird. Nice porch, running stream near by.... More

We spent a week in cabin 10, a newer , large modern cabin. Cabin was perfect, comfy beds, hot shower , modern spacious kitchen and dining area. The restaurant was homey and often full of diners. Food was great and generous portions. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Spent many evenings in camping area with friends around campfire. Holly River... More

I rented a cabin for a week. This was an important place in my childhood. We camped here frequently during my childhood. I wanted to share it with my children and my grandson. The ranger went out of his way to be of assistance during our visit as well as the staff in the office. I was disappointed in the... More
