We recently camped overnight at this park. It seems that apartments have recently been developed around this park. So at one time, it may have been more secluded. If you are visiting with young kids, we recommend the outdoor pool in Franklin Park. We had...More

Excellent park with new and extra clean facilities close by. Spaces are very close together but overall a very nice park. Easy access and ingress/egress; we were in a 38 foot RV pulling an SUV. No need to disconnect...handicap showers that were super clean were...More

Beautiful, large State Park with separate camping/RV area. Lots of open spaces for picnics, and there is a playground for the young ones. We walked on the hiking trails and enjoyed the solitude.

I have been visiting Yakima for 48 years and this is the first time I have camped here, having stayed with family or in a motel on prior visits. Coming from the superb Lincoln Rock State Park to this place was a real come-down. You...More

When we booked the site we thought we would be able to float on the river since it's so close. Once there we found that there's no easy way to access the river from the campgrounds and the river was moving much too fast to...More

It was clean, my site was nice, all of the grounds were well taken care of. It was quiet. I had a really great stay. Don't let the drive to the park fool you. Kinda run down along the way but the park is very...More

It's a cute park close to town. The campsites are shady and spacious. There is plenty of green space for playing games. There is a playground for the kids. The gentleman at the gate was extremely friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed here on Memorial Day weekend. We arrived without reservations and were fortunate to get the last unreserved spot. We were only pitching a tent, didn't need any hook-ups. It is a bit odd to camp in the middle of a city, but I had...More
