My sister and I visit Yakima every August. We always stop by the Visitors Center for new brochures and to talk to the volunteers staffing the center. We always come away with new ideas of places to visit. I recommend it to anyone passing through or just poking around Yakima. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

I would have loved to stop by and see what the center had to offer. I tried using my GPS to get to 101 N Fair Ave and was never able to find it :-(

We stopped in to ask a few questions about Mt. Rainier National Park yesterday. The young man who assisted us was very friendly and courteous. He was very knowledgeable. He not only helped with park information, but told us about housing up and down the area. He helped us locate a a good barbecue restaurant. Stopping here was a big... More

We stopped here when my daughter and husband moved up to Yakima. They have suggestions about wineries and sell coupon booklets for $10 which allows you free and discount tasting up and down the valley.

We visited the Visitors' Center in September while on vacation. there are plenty of brochures and other paper resources which we liked. Overall though, we did not care for the big sales pitch from the woman we talked to. Most of the visit ideas were to buy Yakima Valley produce and wines, as opposed to learning about the area at... The staff is always friendly and helpful. They carry better quality made in Washington souvenirs. I stop in to purchase small gifts for family and friends who live out of state. I always thought it was a good location for travelers to see on the highway.
