Our guide,Jared, was great. We all learned so much about the Northwest Smoke Jumpers. They are an amazing group. We were surprised to find out they actually sew all of their jumpsuits.

I guess the smoke jumpers go home in September, but we were lucky enough to find someone left behind who did show us the equipment room and advise us to come back for a tour in the summer.

We had a wonderful rookie jumper guide, who took us in the hangar where they store all the gear, do the sewing, and inspect the parachutes, as well as going inside the plane, and the storage hangar.
