We enjoyed the visit to the interpretive center. As with out museums in the area theysharev a wealth of information about the life that evolved around the Columbia river gorge.

Well-rounded, even includes beautiful antique, hand-sewn quilts, geology film on how the gorge was formed (we didn't know about the floods!). locomotives, machinery, and river boat memorabilia on display. Great location, too.

Well designed exhibits, interesting films, and beautiful views! We intended to stay only an hour, but the museum grabbed our interest and we stayed til closing~ Well worth the time if you are interested in the history of the gorge.

I will say the center doesn't have very good signs from off of Highway 14 but we managed to find it. Admission is $10 per person. It was laid out very well and flowed nicely. Lots and lots of exhibits with a description of each...More

A vibrant collection of past treasures, the museum contains spectacular quilts. The best features one adored with 420 wildflowers, each in a small block.
