The red bus will take you there right from the ferry landing, and does a 50 min history tour. We just walked the 2 easy flat miles ourselves, so I can't comment on that. Spectacular falls, and worth going to the upper viewing area!! But...More

I have been here several times but this was the first time in the Spring when the water flow was very high. Rainbow is always beautiful but the power and noise of this Spring torrent was really spectacular. The climb to the "up close" lookout...More

However we did see Mama Bear and her two cubs near here, so how beaten can it be? Well worth visting, and only a few steps from where the bus stops

We missed the rainbow effect because we were late in the season. Make sure to go in spring when water is at it's highest.

Beautiful culmination of the red bus tour. Just a very short walk and the falls are beautiful and the park ranger gave a little history on the way to the falls.

It was absolutely gorgeous! A must to see while in the Stehekin Valley. We just sat by the falls and enjoyed the serenity and beauty of the area.

My wife and I rode our bikes from the dock to Rainbow Falls during a hot day. It was so nice to take a dip in the pool after working up a sweat. Water was cold and clean - perfect for a hot day!

We saw the falls as part of the Red Bus Tour. Gorgeous view of the falls. You can hike a short way to the bottom part of the falls, or a slightly more challenging hike up to the middle of the falls.

Whether you biked or hiked to get here I'm sure you won't be disappointed! We rented bikes as we were in Stehekin for only 2 hours. We were hot by the time we arrived and the mist coming off the falls was so welcome. Sitting...More

I believe it's $5.00 one way, but we were there off-season, it might go up to $7.00 during the summer season.

Should we as experienced waterfalls hikers bring extra bubblegum to use to plug any damn leaks??

Would the park ranger carry chipmunk snacks in his back pocket?

I have found the park ranger very accommodating with a large variety of chipmunk snacks. Both fresh and some frozen
