Took a relaxing drift down the Little Spokane in our kayaks. Easy and accessible for all ages but you must pay attention to the currents and foliage on shores. Deep enough so as we didn't have to portage anywhere along from St George's School put...More

We put in by St George's School and took out at the Nine Mile Takeout. Water was clear and cold despite being a +34°C day. Lots of birds. We saw a snake swim across and slither up the bank. Takes anywhere from 2.5 to 4.0...More

I have ran into moose, floated the Little Spokane River. You can hike for 8-10 miles taking the whole loop. Great views of the Nine Mile area and long walk. Lots of nature and Indian hieroglyphs.

In 2015 there was a fire that came through part of this park, but that doesn't detract from the trails or the scenery! Just remember your Parks Pass! Parking lot can be jammed on busy summer days, so come early. Great trails, water access for...More

You can hike or even better paddle. It is a special place, very quiet and beautiful. You might see beavers or other animals.

This was a lovely walk with a little bit of "rock scrambling" and a wonderful, all natural trail wide enough for 1-2 abreast. I took lots of pictures of twisted trees, moss bunches hanging like fruit, the swamp and the river. We saw deer and...More

A great spot to relax and enjoy river running at a leisurely pace. Set in by the George school north of the river then have a pick up vehicle at the natural area. Relax and have fun.

Although near town and with some nearby homes, this is one of the best natural areas I've ever visited. A three-hour canoe trip down the Little Spokane River offers true beauty & Mother Nature at her best with plenty of wildlife from turtles & racoons...More

A nice area that is relatively close to downtown Spokane. The river is slow moving so it is good to float and easy to kayak. Also offers some easy hiking trails, which makes it a nice area for families.
