I didn’t know what to expect coming to Spokane. You always hear about Seattle. I was a bit surprised at how small it seemed and I mean small in a great way. Like a hometown feel. I was blown away by the beauty of the...More

In the 1990s, I patrolled downtown graveyard shift. Guns, dope, and fights. Now, there are around two dozen wineries/tasting rooms, great hotels, plenty of good to great food, and hipster joints galore. See my reviews of Overbluff Winery and the hipster “whiskey den” downstairs. Still...More

Downtown Spokane is always getting better all the time. They have down a nice job of downtown revitalization and fixing up the downtown corridor.

We love walking around downtowns of larger cities....each have their own personality and culture. Downtown Spokane seemed quiet and reserved...never in a hurry. We found many interesting shops and restaurants, a very nice mall and for the most part the streets were pretty clean. Quite...More

Spokane reminds me of Austin in many ways. Laid back and lots of charm. We took a bus tour of the city as we only had a limited amount of time there and wanted to see everything. Ride the ferris wheel and look at all...More

Well the falls are nice, but sometimes it just doesn't feel safe, a six sense. An lot, I mean a lot of homeless and smoking drugs. And not to mention crime, smash & grabs, even witness a dead body being cleanup. Yeah these things can...More

The falls and Manito Park are the best attractions, in my opinion. Next is the Centennial trail for biking or walking. There are many excellent restaurants. Shopping is uninspiring except for Auntie's Books and Boo Radley's. The number of homeless people on the streets is...More

Construction everywhere. Mixed architecture. Gorgeous court house then across the street the worst looking building I have ever seen. Just go for the falls and the Davenport and then head to Coer d’Alene. As fast as you can... Sorry Spokane . I’d skip the city...More

Spokane is a growing, thriving city that combines classic architecture and history with modern buildings and beautiful public spaces, including riverfront park along the Spokane River. Wineries, breweries, art, theater fine dining combine to make a lovely city to visit.

This is my first trip here and am very impressed with the city and the people. We stayed downtown and walked all over downtown each night. Lots of varied restaurants and places to have a beverage. The River Park is very nice. Looking forward to...More

I lived here in Spokane for 5 years I absolutely hate the city. Its ugly in 3/4 of it, crackheads, jackholes, loose dogs, super high crime rate , squatters, Marshallese and dbags who think they're all that and a bag of chips... Pull ur pants up u stupid selfish lowlife scum of the earth Oklahoma gayboy. I'd rather live in my dogs dingleberry than here...horrible place to visit always hot and muggy and its 400$ for anything. "Ohh but its cool w all the old buildinnnggssss" just shows how low maintenance and the "fancy" architecture that is here...hmmm it may be cool to visit cuz its different...but a tip: DONT LIVE HERE!!! they sell bongs at 1/2 the gas stations and minors can't even enter and get whined at by an Arab telling a little kid to stay outside while his moms in there for days... I hate it heerreee. U think here is so interesting cause its old... So what go to Alaska or Mississippi at least you'll get a beer for under 4$... hobos every where asking to do a quickie in the bush and if you don't hell crap in his hand and throw it at u or some thing else :/ .. The only good parts the south hill... But there u still got militants that pss on the seat. It always smells like rotting food and can't walk anywhere without being asked or yelled at or even hit... Don't waste ur money AND AVOID HILLYARD
