We went for a soak in Soap lake and basically had the place to ourselves. It is extremely alkaline so you float with very little effort. It was very nice to just lay back and take a soak in the cool but not cold water....More

A nice spot for a beach picnic. Play ground. Bathrooms are clean, small and bare bones. A concession stand was open. We happened by for a free Music festival so a few more food options were available. Historically a healing lake, smear the mud on,...More

I admit, there's not much to do here, but if you just get there, when Summer calls you to the Lake itself, and you find yourself neck deep in the black muds, you will be glad you did! My back started feeling better! I hated...More

Stopped by on our way to Grand Coulee Dam. Interesting history regarding why the lake has a soapy feel and the mineral content of the mud.

One of a kind place. The views are completely amazing and unlike anything I've seen in all my travels. Dry falls dropping off into Soap Lake. Excellent driving tour. We saw a mule deer. Gorgeous scenery.

We were planning on staying in Soap Lake and checking out what they say about the lake. No go. You have to walk through some very smelly mud to get into the water. We watched other folks and they just walk out and sit in...More

Historically significant for reduction of Burger's disease and topical mud applications for many kinds of ailments, Soap Lake is a marvel - both from a water perspective (great mineral content and healing perspective) as well as fun for the whole family. Great motels and hotels...More

There are a number of motels along the shoreline with easy access to the lovely waters of Soap Lake. There are rv camp grounds (at least two I can think of) and the motels are withing walking distance of downtown shopping... More
