Much better than his previous grave site at this cemetery.

This is a very fitting memorial to Jimmy. It is beautiful and it gives the respect that this fabulous musician deserves. Bring your camera.

Paul Allen funded the memorial and did a nice job. Sad that Jimmy left us so soon. Easy to see, no fees and don't be surprised if you find young musicians sitting there trying to channel their inner Jimmy. Put it on the bucket list if your a Hendix fan.

The memorial is a quantum leap from the old flat "headstone" days. This a impressive structure. A good side trip for those friends who are fans of Jimmy.

Big fan of Hendrix & even saw him twice. Went with my wife to see his grave site in Renton, Washington. At first I just saw it as a big cold monument, no soul, but when I got closer I saw the thought that went into it. I started reading the quotes and turned to my wife and said "They... More

Greenwood Cemetery did a nice job honoring Jimi. It's easy to find and a nice surprise in Renton. MoPOP also has a great exhibit if you want to learn more about him.

Pretty much on the way to Seattle from SEATAC, so if you are debating - just go. Be sure to follow up with a trip to the EMP to see the Hendrix memorial. Got chills checking out this memorial & talking to Jimi Hendrix. It was a great way to kick off our trip to Seattle.

Nice place to visit but no parking close. Long walk from parking lot. Can park next to memorial but it will block others in cemetery. Two block south on Monroe from 4th Ave in Renton Highlands part of Greenwood cemetery grounds. Worth a visit if you are a Hendrix fan.

Right next door to where I was attending a class I found the Jimi Hendrix gravesite memorial. I was nice to have the opportunity to "talk" to the memory of a man who broke with society to explore and advance music. His was a life that broke moulds and inspired aspirations of changing the status quo.
