There are not many amenities here, but it is a good park with a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. I recommend coming here on a date or for a sunset.

Ivar's has indoor dining. Nice outdoor covered and park style dining. Wish there was more parking, but without making an ugly garage; there is not much you can do about parking. The good part about limited parking is it keeps the crowds a bit smaller.

The Renton City managers decided "no dogs" allowed. Was this because of a rash of dogs biting people? If so then people are the problem, let people can and I bet have left litter, are welcome. The geese poop a wash tub full per square...More

There are a lot of things working against this park - very crowded in warm weather, difficult to find, hard parking, limited space - but it still ends up being a place to seek out again and again. My main activity is there is walking....More

Large waterfront park close to downtown Renton. Boat ramp, kids play area, restaurant and lots of paths to keep you away from traffic. There's also a pavillion where you can take family or special event photos undercover when the weather is it's typical Seattle self!

I have been going here for many years, never grow tired of it. This is one instance where development was for the best, cause I used to go here as a teenager before they built it. The trees are beautiful – – sequoias, and all...More

I like Jean Coulon for when I feel like I want to take a walk or just be by the water. It's got nice walking trails and docks and the last time I was there I spotted a couple beavers swimming around in the water....More

We love this park. Fun to walk along the lake, look at boats, feed the ducks. In the summer we play at the beach. In winter we love the Christmas lights. And the playground is HUGE. This park is a gem.

Yes most of the walking area is paved. I believe there are small trails that branch off the main one that are just dirt but the main path is all paved.

Lk. is still very cold. I haven't heard if it's closed to swimming yet..Ducks, Ducks and more ducks is the usual reason for a closed beach...watch for signs...They post "No Swimming"..
