These basalt pillars look like feathers and have climbers over them. This formation isn't far from the Columbia River after you have turned onto Vantage Rd. Vantage Rd has views of interesting basalt formations, but I loved "Feathers" the best. No restrooms here.

On the road to the gorge amphitheater, small parking lot. Mostly rock climbers practicing on the monolith rocks. Wonderful easy trails to Vista's of the Columbia river, waterfalls and coulees. Just off I-90. Nice for an afternoon stroll.
