We visited in April and were the only ones in the parking lot, so after a half mile hike we had the whole beach to ourselves. The walk to the beach was through a fairly easy forest path and was pleasant despite me carrying our...More

We chose to go the .9 mile walk to the campground, and sweet beach, deep, with the coolest pebbles! Comfortable to sit or lay, and enjoy the scenery. The sun was warm, wished I had had my tent and sleeping bag. Site # 5 or...More

We visited this park in the off season. The trail was fairly short and beautiful in December. There is beach as well as forest to visit, plus a hike in/boat in campground which we didn't visit. It was fairly quick and easy hiking and the...More

There are vault toilets in the parking area and at the campsites. Hike in campsites include a picnic table and fire pit. There is a short well maintained trail to get to the campsites and beach area (.5 mile). You could probably pull a cargo...More

We hiked in less than a mile. Beautiful walk in to the area. Pebble beach with not many people there. We had a wonderful day. We walked out a different path which was shorter about 1/2 a mile.

If you are in the area take the time to enter the park and go down to the waters edge. Different perspective (obviously) and if you hit it ar low tide the tide pools are cool to explore.

I took the loop to the shore and back. It was a decent easy hike. The view from the overlook at the end of the loop is gorgeous.

We wanted an easy hike with lots of nature and this is the place. The trail was well marked through the cool, primordial forest and suddenly opening on a cliff above a beautiful secluded beach and small harbor. This is a trip more for solitude...More

Obstruction Pass State Park is a small but beautiful park hidden away at the very far tip of Orcas Island. A couple nice trails wind through the temperate rainforest to a few small beaches and some campsites. The views are great and exploring the pebbled...More
