Visited with (3) grandchildren ages 4-9, and all were thrilled by experience. Particular favorites were the grocery store and restaurant exhibits, the 'scream' box, the water ball exhibit, and the 'nursery' where dressing up as doctors and nurses was a particular hit.

The Hands On Children's Museum in downtown Olympia is a great way to spend an evening out with the kids! The variety of stations give children plenty of opportunity to learn, explore and play.

My kids love this place, there is so much to do and discover. Great for kids to learn and play in a smart way. Only thing I do not like is the place charges parents' admission too which I do not agree upon since it is a place for kids and not for adults.

The best place to take your kids! There are so many activities for all ages! My two year old loves it here! It's so nice to be able to just follow her and watch how her little mind works through the whole meusum. Highly recommend!!

We went on Remembrance Day so it was extremely busy. Even that busy, the children got turns on everything they wanted. Highlights are the water play downstairs and the air blower (that shoots fluff balls and scarves into the air) upstairs. There was also a constitution area that was a big hit. If I lived in Olympia I would buy... More

This is a great place to take young children. Indoor and outdoor play for all weather conditions. Also a nice gift shop and cafe with healthy food choices. You can also bring your own food.

Of all the children's museums I've been to, this is by far the best. There are many well thought out areas to explore. Even within each area there are multi age activities. It is spotless and well staffed. The outdoor area is larger than most places with water play, all levels of tricycles, sand and pebble play, a garden, live... More

I have two rambunctious grandsons that come to visit often. It doesn't matter how big my house is, after a few hours, I have to get them out. I take them here and THEY LOVE IT. I immediately bought the grandparent membership. Best time to go is during the week. Less people. It does get crowded, so keeping and eye... More

We discovered this place while driving around Olympia and had a blast. My kids didn't want to leave. We ended up getting a pass so we could go back a lot more. There was tons of hands on stuff to do such as a play kitchen/restaurant, veterinary clinic, hospital nursery, police and firefighter dress up, etc.. There is also a... More

We've taken our grand-kids there a couple of times. They enjoyed the variety of activities and always ask if we can take them back.
