They had lots of things the kids could touch and look at. Nice to see a museum-type learning center where they can actually interact with things. Visitors pay by donation only, so no high fees to pay to visit.

We were able to visit Ocean Shores during spring break this year and stopped in at the interpretive center to see what it was all about. This is a free experience but they do accept donations. This was a good time for the whole family...More

Gives a good overview of Ocean Shores and it's history. The info about the Catala is interesting as is the beginning of Ocean Shores. Doesn't take long to go thru but lots of interesting info including a local wildlife display.

hands on exhibits, easy access, friendly people, local history. it's free admission , but even a small donation in their huge lobby jar helps to keep it going.

We really enjoyed this place. There were five children and they all loved this place. In fact, we went back twice. Nice exhibits but even nicer volunteers. They were so friendly and taught us so much!!!

There is not much to see inside the small building, actually the garden area which is also small is half the attraction. Donation is the cost of entry and I would say that is all it is worth

So, this is a smallish museum in appearance but loaded with fun, educational and factual displays, examples, well-written material and friendly staff. This superb museum houses an unrivaled collection of marine biology, flora and fauna from the Western U.S., geology, weather and all manner of...More

Our trail behind the center is only about a quarter of a mile loop. While it's not very long, it does display native coastal plant and forest habitats. It is easy and relaxed, great for children! This is not to be confused... More
