The Padilla Bay Interpretive Center is small, but has a great display about wildlife on the bay as well as a few live ones. They have interactive programs as well and provide a wonderful classroom for many groups.

I've been here both for a visit and to take a class. The center is very clean and nice and there's a lot of great information about Padilla Bay.

We headed up to Padilla Bay today and stopped first at the center. Ample parking was visible as we pulled in, including two charge stations for EVs. The staff at the center were super friendly and helpful. Although the center was small, the exhibits were clear and well maintained. What's even better, they were educational and fun. even my 18... We walked from Bay View state park to the interpretive center one morning while we were renting a cabin. The street doesn't have a sidewalk but the traffic is light enough it wasn't a problem. Do not walk on the beach since it goes through private property. The center itself was way better than I expected with lots of cool... More

The interpretive center is great but please leave time to walk along the bay especially at low tide. There is a great campground nearby, if you are a camper you will definitely want to plan on staying here. There is plenty to do for all ages and the campground links to the beach area via an under the highway tunnel.... More

We have stopped by this place many times. It has a small interpretive center that has lots of interactive displays for kids. There is a small hike through the grounds where we once spotted an eagle. Great place to go, rain or shine and learn more about the local ecosystem!

I came out to the interpretive center in August via Skagit Transit. Due to scheduling, I was at the center for 5 hours. An hour and a half I was inside learning more about the local environment. The trail out the north doors was very pleasant and easy to walk. Don't miss the trail to the beach. I was there... More

A wonderful place to learn more about the environment we live in. Interesting informatiive displays with beautiful aquariums containing sea creatures that live in Puget Sound. Leading from the front door of the interpretative center, a paved trail a few hundred yards long with a slight downhill grade (entirely wheelchair accessible), takes you to a tunnel under the road to... This little jewel tucked away on Bayview-Edison Road in the Skagit is a must-see for a family. The center is beautifully managed, with interesting displays. The new aquarium is delightful. The real-time images of the nesting herons provided by Skagit Land Trust and the Interpretive Center are captivating. Usually I see these unusual birds hanging out in ditches and here... More
