From the beach at Moclips, just head north a quarter mile or so and you run into the confluence of the Moclips River and the ocean. This is a great place to bring little ones to show the different aspects of the little ecosystem. Visit the river at low tide. The river carves lots of little channels in the sand... More

Beautiful, right down a path from the Hi Tide Resort. There are Eagles, Sandpipers, and Herons that I saw. You can see that there's history of docks that were there ling ago, but doesn't take away the beauty of it.

I was dying to take a kayak out on the little tree lined river but didn't. It is beautiful as all the rivers seem to be on the peninsula. It begs one to explore.

We love this little ever changing river. Wonderful nature walks with tidal changes making it different each and every time you go. Watch for River Otter, Bald Eagles, Deer, Heron, Raccoon and a myriad of local and migratory wild birds,

One of our favorite activities is hiking up the Moclips River and watching the wildlife. Tidal surges from the ocean keep the shoreline stirred up every winter.

The river is always a little different, with giant logs and driftwood. If you're lucky, you'll see the otters and the bald eagles!

Park at the beach access in Moclips. Hike to mouth of river and then upstream. Time your visit for low tide.

This River flows into the Pacific Ocean at Moclips. Do not try and Drive across this river, the north shore of the river is actually on the resservation. The local Native tribe does not like the White Man.
