I live in Marblemount and have been over the pass many, many times. Every time, it takes my breath away. As pretty a place as you will see anywhere in the lower 48 or in Europe. Wild and scenic only begins to describe it. How amazing that we get to drive in this national treasure.

An absolute MUST SEE... if you drive by this without a stop, you're missing out big time! Easy highway access, short, easy, leisurely walk to a spectacular view. Enjoy in the morning and the late afternoon to see how the sunlight plays on the mountains.

This was definitely our favorite part of trip on the North Cascades Scenic Highway. We stopped and spent some time walking around the hiking trail and viewing the pass. We arrived at around 6:30am and I can't even explain how peaceful it was walking around the overlook. There were a couple of campers that we tried very hard not to... More

If you are driving from Marblemount on US 20 East, its should take you around one hour to get to the pass (about 52 miles). You will enjoy a spectacular view with a fresh breath of air. But if you are going on the winter or even on late May, the pass will be close due to the road condition,... More

If you want to see the mountains and views you got to get out and walk. Otherwise the stop is only good to use the rest rooms, which were clean and well maintained.

Good views of the area, all with a short walking distance from the parking. If you're starting a trip in the cascade, this is a good first stop to get oriented around and capture the mountains

We were looking for some nice, easy hikes with the kids and this was perfect for them. Some very nice views of the mountains including Liberty Bell. Unfortunately, when we were there, it was hazy due to nearby wildfires.

Best view in the park, in my opinion. Ample parking. There wasn't any running water / flush toilets at this location, but they did have several pit toilets and a number of picnic tables in the shade.
