A group of five had a very nice experience at Hellams. Beautiful sunny day sitting on the dock enjoying a very tasty bottle of cab sauv. Cheese and meat plate was great - two plates were plenty for the five of us. Some very interesting wines on offer and not too pricey. Well worth wasting away an hour or two.

I enjoyed a free wine tasting, compliments of the LaConner Channel Lodge, and the samples were all good. The server was very friendly, and the public seating outside by the river was pretty. The shop itself was nice and two customers even volunteered to carry my selections out to the car. The proprietor selects wines from all over, but limits... More

Great location with on outside patio on the water. Friendly, knowledgable owners. The wine club is a fun way to learn about new wines and do some tasting. They also plan trips.

Popped in for a wine tasting this weekend with my young child and had a lovely experience. Was able to taste eight different wines and meet the wine maker from the featured winery. The wine selection for tasting as well as every day purchases was extensive and delicious. Owner is very knowledgeable and took time to explain different wines. Also... More

I am not sure what ediblecrayonz from Honolulu, HI, is talking about with her review. I have been a wine club member for 4 years and frequently enjoy free wine tastings on weekends, often with one of Washington's outstanding winemakers presenting their wines. There's never been any confusion about this store being a wine shop nor has the owner presented... More

This place is not associated with an actual vineyard. It's a wine shop masquerading as a winemaker that occasionally hosts independent vintners for tastings. However, they try to charge you for tastings even if you're a part if the vintner's wine club. 1

Once in awhile a rotten egg appears in a business and this person was exactly that... after two employees, the owner and the guest winemaker explained the policy for club members and free tasting, she still "didn't get it" and proceeded to drop this one-star rotten egg bomb on our business. Anyone with a brain can figure out our tasting... More

This is a nice location overlooking the Swinomish channel boat traffic while wine tasting.Lots of good wine to choose from and in a walkable downtown with lots of small shops and close to the Marina.

We are staying at The Channel Lodge and got a certificate for a "free" wine tasting. While the wines were pretty good, the fellow waiting on us was more interested in the woman playing really "stupid" at the wine bar. Anyway, we got our wine tasting and bought 2 glasses for $7 each, small pour. Shouldn't have bothered. Can not... More

Entirely not true, and why did you use quotation marks for "free"? Yes indeed, guests at the Channel Lodge do receive a COMPLIMENTARY tasting which gives each guest three tastes. I specifically remember who you were; the woman you are referring to, playing "stupid" (whatever that means) happens to be a professional wine sales rep. representing the largest distributor in... A large group of us met here for wine when in town for a wedding. The deck made for a great spot to gather while overlooking the channel, and chatting. We had children with us, and they were able to explore the boardwalk while staying in sight. There was a nice selection of wines and IPAs for the group. We... More
