I live here and was quite surprised to find such a classy museum. It is very well organized, well lit, and has a wide range of items as well as exhibits dealing with local culture. I wish there were a few more explanations for items.

We didn't expect this county museum to be so captivating...spent over an hour and a half here. Take your time browsing in pieces of history, especially the Hispanic connection.

This is a great little museum packed with history about Skagit County. It gives a great overview of how the area was settled, and one can really appreciate the hard work our ancestors did to settle this area into the beautiful place we have today. It's a great attraction for the whole family.

My Brother suggested this and as we like museums, was glad we did. Very interesting history in the Skagit Valley. They were adding a new exhibit on the Hispanics coming to this area. Even though it wasn't officially open, we were able to see it. We were honored to be one of the first. One of the exhibit highlights one... More

This is an unusual Historical Museum...sorry for the oxymoron. There is not a crunch if LaConner history per square inch....but what is there is pretty accurate layout of that part of Skagit County. The exhibits are mostly photographs but what is there is good. I did not have time to go next door and go through research archives for the... More

Went with my wife, sister and brother in law after having visited our 103 year old aunt. My sister and I had fun remembering growing up in Skagit County. It made me feel a little old as I remembered living during the time of some of the exhibits. We were disappointed in the special exhibit on the Culture of Mount... More

not bad for a farming country museum. i really enjoyed the exhibit of how it used to be, how the land was cleared by hard working enterprising swedes. They change the exhibits throughout the year. It's good place to take out of towners.

The artifacts and antiques are somewhat limited here, but they have interesting scheduled speakers who draw a good crowd of local folks. We all miss Mark (executive director) and the time and great interest he put into this museum before he passed away in 2014.
