A visit to the Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center is a good place to start your trip to Mt. St. Helens. You'll get some background history of what led up to the eruption of Mt. St. Helens back in 1980 before you drive up to...More

Very interesting. It has phots, newspapers, mockups of the destruction, a short video of actual footage taken during the eruption. There is also a Learning Center that allows a closer look into the events of the eruption. Very interesting.

I have mixed emotions about this one because we lost our home when the mountain erupted. It is a very, very deep sore!!

This is the visitors center to go to. The exhibits are great and the view of Mount Saint Helens is incredible. I was confused by so many visitor centers but this is the one to visit! I highly recommend it!

The interpretive centre is great to go through. The walk out into the wetlands was easy and fun. Mt. St. Helens was hiding in the clouds though and we were not able to see that. Lots of parking.

Have been wanting to come here for quite some time and I was not disappointed. We started the trip by overflying Mount St. Helens in my Cessna and then landing at the Kelso Airport. From there we went by car to the visitors center. Extremely...More

We drove to Mt St Helens from Portland as that is where we were staying. The observatory is the place to get the best view and information about the eruption!!! Hope it works out for you.
