Number of wines for tasting (3) were much more limited than most wineries we've visited. Two of the three, however, were excellent. Wines- and tasting charge- were more expensive than we were typically seeing. A bit disappointing that the person working at the counter did not offer the option of splitting a tasting. Beautiful location and probably the best wines... More

We entered this winery and were immediately welcomed. We were given a tour and loved the bottega. As we sat tasting the flight of wines dating from '09-2013, we were presented with merlot grapes picked right off the vine! What a treat! The flight was $17, great pours! Planning on visiting again since the view of the mountains, hills and... More

A drop dead gorgeous winery with views across to Mount Rainier and Mount Adams on a clear day. The wines are pricey but astounding. Their second label - Shining Hill - is also excellent. This is a place to go and order their flight of wines for tasting and to sit and savor them while taking in the space, views... More

Our first experience with the wine came as a result of a visit to the Col Solare tasting room Chateau St. Michelle in Woodinville. That experience put the Benton City location at the top of the list of properties we wished to visit later that week. The winery's location, commanding a view high on Red Mountain, did not disappoint. We... More

Amazing wines in collaboration with Antinori and Chateau Ste. Michelle. We got to try and buy 2009 delicious! The tasting actually was at the chateau and not at winery in Benton City

Col Solare had been on my radar to visit since we had visited Chateau St. Michelle numerous times - and this place did NOT disappoint! It was amazing, the people there are super friendly and we ended up getting wines there that we will sip on in about 10 years! It was such a nice little stopover before we drove... More

The woman who served us was wonderful and very knowledgeable. My disappointment is that they claimed a food pairing which consisted of less than an ounce of the cheese for two and eight almonds. The $20 tasting didn't really feel worth it. I think the better tasting is actually the $15 tasting at the regular wine bar in Château Saint... More

This was the first place we visited on our tasting trip and it definitely set the bar high. There wines are delicious the winery hip and cool. A little pricey for a flight of wines (that's how they offered their tastings) but worth it in the end. Everything we tasted afterwards became avdistant second place.

We LOVE Col Solare Winery and their wines. The winery on Red Mountain is so worth the visit! Their focus is red wines - only the best grapes and blends are made. Their wine maker, Darel, and his team are amazing - their wines never disappoint us. What I like about the winery itself is the view, the wonderful staff... More
