I went in May to see what birds I could catch migrating through. I highly recommend this park for that activity. However, I noticed a well-manicured and ample picnic area, a playground, a few trails, some folks fishing from a pier and another putting in...More

Nice place to picnic, do some water sports. They have a playground for kids and a great visitors center. A trail to walk. Plenty of parking.

Leesylvania State Park is my favorite place to "cool out" by the river watching all types of boats, or get my exercise on by walking or riding my bike. Sometimes I even fish. When I have friends coming for the weekend, we spend one day...More

Hidden secret that we have a beach in nova. But there is an admission fee. This is a pain, but also keeps the beach clean and less crowded. So I have mixed feeling about it. Awesome walking trails with intermittent exercise stations along the way....More

I guess because I live so close to it I am not so impressed with it. They are easy hiking trails. Beautiful views of the water. However there is nothing that really wows me about it. To me it's just another average state park.
