Wow, things have changed. The old warehouses are gone and it looks like a fancy outlet mall, with higher prices than I remember. And a ton of food products now. It looks like it was built for the many tour buses that stop here. I was so excited to go back and so disappointed with what I saw there.

We first visited the pottery in the early 70s. It was one of my favorite things to do when visiting Williamsburg. I moved to CA in the 80s and did not return until the early 2000s. When we visited here then the old pottery was dying if not already dead. Closed buildings and empty stores. We were excited to find... More

I remember the old Pottery. The new buildings are pretty, but the shopping was disappointing. Shelves were half bare, deals weren't that great. I will pass next time!

I grew up going to "The Pottery Shop." I have been there all through it's heyday in the 70's and 80"s. It used to have craftsmen and artists working there MAKING things that they then sold at reasonable prices. People drove here from all over the country, even from Canada, just to visit it. Now all of that has been... More

I have been going here 17 years and must say I love it more than ever. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair and i can find gourmet items that I cant find anywhere else. Additionally, I have acquired two camellias (full size) for a fraction of there value.

The Pottery Barn lost its run-down appearance when it was remodeled. Now you ramble through several large (modern but boring) adjoining buildings to shop. Besides pottery, the stores carry kitchenware, artificial and live plants, yard ornaments...It is fun to see the assortment.

We shopped on the day after Christmas. There were about 20 people in the entire facility. Everything was on sale, including the beer and wine. We did not take advantage of that, but we did get some great things. I can not say what it would have been like before Christmas, but for someone looking for deals, the day or... More

Found some really neat items here to give as Christmas presents next year. This was my first time going here and I would definitely go back when I am in the area. They have a lot of nice household items I would like to check out once my house is complete in the coming year.

Prior to the remodel I had been a fairly frequent visitor/shopper for the 20+ years I've lived in Hampton Roads. I was somewhat excited to see the remodel completed, but it simply wasn't worth the investment. Part of what made the Pottery great was that you could take the entire family (including the dog) out for a little jaunt and... More

Many reviews have been negative due to the massive facelift this business has undergone. I have been to the old pottery and just yesterday to the new. It is better now. The prices are great, the selection great, the environment great, the staff great. It is better than ever and the business should not suffer because customers have some skewed... More
