R. H. Ballard' s is a special type of gift shop and galleryThey have a wide range items. Everything is of the highest quality. Most of the items are very unusual and hard to find elsewhere. It's difficult to go in and not buy something. Definitely worth a visit.

Well worth a visit—you'll find a surprising and delightful blend of well-curated home decor, rugs, art and local delights in this beautiful shop. I bought a rug and little gifts from Virginia for all my friends.

Mr. Ballard's shop is a wonderful place to pass a few moments time looking at lovely things. The offerings are well chosen and provide good choices for gifts or for yourself. The art is local and interesting. Mr. Ballard himself is friendly and helpful. So have a look.

After shopping at Ballard's one day, I dined at Tula's restaurant that evening and in crossing paths with a neighbor she inquired "Thom, you smell wonderful, what is your cologne?", and I replied "that smell happens to be from a wonderful cedar wood bath soap used by Native American's for its affect on the mind and spirit sold at Ballard's".

During a recent stay at the Inn at Little Washington, we wandered into Ballard's. What a charming store. They have some wonderful items for the home. We purchased a beautiful cheese platter and some small serving bowls. Great inventory and wonderful service.
