Wonderful evening to appreciate the ease of farm to table dining. We all participated with preparation in some way; chopping veggies, crab picking, or prepping the bruscetta. And our lamb dinner was excellent.

We had a nice time here. The Art Institute Chef, Lin Old cooked with his assistants Malcolm and Lou and 8 of us diners. I attended a presentation called Edible Weeds at New Earth Farm. It was presented by Vickie Shufer who is knowledgable and experienced in foraging (she wrote a book on the subject), medicinal use of herbs, survival skills, kayaking and local waterways, and she also presents programs and leads tours at First Landing and False Cape State Parks. My daughter and I attended the foraging for wild edibles class. It was very well done. We were taught all about the different types of weeds/plants edible.
