We visited North Virginia Beach in April 2017. As one of our sons is disabled, we greatly appreciated the boardwalk, benches, and separate bike path. The bathroom facilities along the boardwalk were also great and very appreciated, helping to accommodate our strolls. We found the beach at this time of season to be uncrowded and spacious, possibly due to cool... More

This is a great place to walk along the ocean while watching and listening to the sound of the waves. Nothing else like it and I love the great Boardwalk to walk on each time I visit.

Had a great times, love the boardwalk. Very well lit at night as well. Love that they have water stations to rinse the sand off from the beach.

Nice walking Boardwalk because it has a separate bike path! VB Fishing Pier is worth the $2.00!! Saw dolphins from the pier!

I wasn't sure what to expect but, in my honest opinion, I was very unimpressed. I have no desire to go back. Their boardwalk is just a concrete walkway on the beach. No shops or rides. Not like the jersey shore beaches where there are actually things to do. As we returned quickly to our car that cost $10 to... More

Very nice boardwalk. Very clean and we lived the separate lane for bikes and such. We felt very safe as everything was well lit and very close to everything. Loved the Neptune statue.

The best boardwalk I've ever been on...clean, well-maintained, biking lanes separate, easy access from hotels, good access to rinse stations and right on beach with ramps/few stairs. No shops directly on the boardwalk, which we prefer. All shops/restaurants easy access one street over and a short walk. Pet friendly as well/great walking space.

The boardwalk is very nice in that it is all concrete, 3 miles long, and steps and handicap ramps available as well as shower stations. Also, there is a separate bike/surrey path.

It was a very nice walk with a lot of restaurants and shops. The beach was very busy and there were a few homeless people on the benches. I would expect this in a city like Virginia Beach so no big deal, they didn't bother anyone. All in all a nice walk and view.
