The best thing about the Aquarium is the Toddler Time, twice a week. 30 minutes of stories, crafts, singing, animals, nature walks and more, all included in admission price. The 2 women in charge are simply amazing with kids, informative, creative and excited about educating little ones on marine life. For the actual aquarium.... every staff is exceptionally friendly and... More

We took my grandson and he had a good time. Sad that they didn't have the boats going and the adventure area was closed. It was a little pricey for what there was to do. There really wasn't much to do or see.

Great aquarium for all ages to visit. Last I was there before I went with the family was over 20 years age when I was in the Navy. Even better than I had remembered. Nice and clean inside. If you think there will be bad weather, this would be the place to go. I would still go even if the... More

We took the whale watching tour 2/25/17 from the Va Aquarium and had a great day. We saw 6+ hump back whales, many fluke (tail) slaps, pectoral fin slaps and 4 full body breaches!!! What an amazing trip. The crew and captain were great, nice snack bar and gift shop on board and room enough for everyone. The captain would... More

My best friend and I took my 7 year old son to the Virginia Aquarium this past weekend. We had so much fun exploring. My son was fascinated by the large sharks in the shark tank. The sea turtles captured my heart. We got up close on the tank and they swam to us. They were very interactive, they weren't... More

I have been to Baltimore's aquarium as a comparison so my review is biased. This is not as good. Not as much to see. Very kid friendly.

The aquarium in Chicago is much nicer than the one in VA Beach. I wouldn't recommend this one. Was very disappointed in it.

Having lived here in Virginia years ago, I have never been there till now. Awesome experience and very interesting in the learning aspect. My family and I enjoyed it very much along with the 3d movie Galapagos island. Prices were very reasonable too.

Don't miss this when you are in VB! It showcases the local weather [station shows how hurricanes form and move and more], animals [touch tank for stingrays and more] and walk through to see animals in their habitat [eagles in nest and more]. There is an abundance of docents in red shirts to share information. The dolphin and whale-watching trips... More
