Polyface Farms is a unique, rural, off-the-beaten-path gem that's worth the drive! Joel Salatin, the owner of Polyface, is all about organic, natural farming that's good for both you and the environment! Even those not interested in farming (like myself) will find the tour fascinating....More

Polyface sells great food with wonderful taste and quality despite huge competition from agri-business. Their food is fabulous. Polyface is really good farming. Their animals are raised humanely, receiving lots of tender loving care and personal attention. I wish that I live a lot closer...More

What the Salatins are doing here is tremendous. Our party of 8 - 2 families with small children - drove from Canada with seeing this farm up close as our main reason for travelling. Polyface did not disappoint. We did a self-guided tour to see...More

The whole reason we came to visit Staunton was to see the Polyface Farm. We were excited to visit this working farm, and speak with all who work there about their farm and how it is run. It was a really awesome experience as everyone...More

We stopped here for a lunatic tour. We arrived a day early to poke around the farm. There were interns coming and going and everyone was friendly. The farm is located off the beaten path with lots of curves and turns. Beautifully located. We arrived...More

Daniel led the tour and it was a lot of fun. Everything I expected and maybe a little more. It was good to see in person the broiler chicken tractors and walking amongst the pigs in the woods. Also saw the huge layer chicken tractor.

We visited Polyface on May 16th, 2015. We had never done anything like this. While we were starting our own small farm, we wanted to get some outside ideas from other, more experienced farmers. Boy were we impressed. Joel Salatin was our "lunatic" tour guide....More

The Salatin farm is off the main road for sure, but it's SO worth the drive through the beautiful country to go visit this farm. We were there with no other visitors, and we were allowed to wander the farm at will. It's a working...More

Having read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and watched "Food Inc." and seen J.S. in various YouTube interviews, I was excited to visit this farm. I am also a member of a CSA farm in Upstate NY for 15 years, so to me PolyFace is a must-see...More

Sorry, no but the nearby town of Staunton has a variety of motels. Be sure to take an excellent map and get good directions to Polyface from Staunton's Visitor's Center because it's easy to get lost. I did.
