If you're taking young kids and it's their first time to a cave, it may be worth a short trip. If you're an adult and have seen most other cave attractions skip this one

I went with friends on a 95 degree afternoon and took the tour ($14). I haven't been there in many years and figured it was a good way to spend a short afternoon nearby. Our whole tour group of six people (nice, not crowded) were...More

I took my 3 year old for her birthday as a mommy/daughter activity. Only had to wait about 15 minutes for the next tour to start, they start every 45 minutes. We just browsed the small gift store while we waited. Once we started we...More

Very nice tour that takes about 45 minutes. Well worth the admission price. One word of caution, there are a LOT of steps as you go up about 8 stories and then there are about 3 stories underground so you will get a work-out. If...More

We did not use the campground facilities. The cave tour was very informative and the guide was nice. He did an excellent job explaining the cave history and surrounding area. I recommend the cave tour.

You get what you pay for. Very good price for the area. Small sites - actually our neighbor's slideout about touched our awning. Sites are dirt and grass and can get a little wet. Convenient to the interstate.

We came for the campground, which has nice long sites, but they are very close together. We agree with the other low rating regarding shower house. There us no way we would use them. The store area is also old and could use some updating....More

The wife and I visited this place after looking around whilst travelling at different caverns. Most are high priced like Luray Caverns at $27 each! This was only $14 each and it was a nice tour by Matt who kept everyone entertained. There's a nice...More

I'm not sure where these 5 star ratings are seeing. But Dixie Caverns is a FAMILY OWNED Cavern. For many years they have allowed the property to go down hill. It's very hard to understand why anyone would let such a landmark deteriorate. At one...More

It would be a nightmare to bring a stroller. There are a lot of stairs, uneven surfaces, small areas. There is a space you can leave the stroller at the top (before entering the caverns).

It is about a 45 minute tour of the caverns. The cost is $14 for adults, $6 for children 5-12, under 5 is free. Sometimes you can find local coupons in travel guides or online. I'm not sure how much camping costs. There... More
