This was our first time sailing, on our first trip to New Zealand and what a pleasant day on the water! Mike and Melissa were conscientious and made us feel very safe and took great care to make the day comfortable and fun! Had a great day on the water with Mike and Melissa. Saw Penguins, kayaked around and enjoyed swimming at the beach. Highly recommended!

If you want a low key daily out on the water then head out sailing with Mike on his sail boat. You visit an island for a hike and swimming, look for Dolphins (we saw a few) have a good lunch and if you feel like it help sail the boat. A nice day for sure.

A brilliant day, extremely well organised, Mike & Melissa are a slick team. A dreamy and blissful Island stop off and a chance to swim in crystal clear waters, kayak and walk. Simple but fresh and delicious picnic style food, perfect for sustaining post swim hunger. Good crowd, 20 of us. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderfull day with Mike and Melissa. We sailed to a beautifull island with an amazing view over the bay. Dolphins swam underneath our boat. Good simple sandwiches for lunch and nice healthy snacks.

This past Friday we enjoyed a wonderful day sail with Captain Mike and his first mate Melissa, aboard the Gungha II. While hubby enjoyed being able to help with the sails and such, I was able to sit back and relax. We spotted some dolphins and enjoyed an hour long stop at a beautiful white sand beach. Had fun puttering... More

This was just what my hubby and I needed. It was so relaxing. We had great weather for sailing. Loved laying on the deck in the sun while cruising along. Mike and Melissa were fantastic. Plenty to eat. Canoeing was good fun. Would definitely do it again.

The weather wasn't all that great the day we booked onto the sailing trip. With a lot of cold wind and barely any sunshine it made it super cold out on the water. However, bring a coat and something warm and you'll have a great time. Excellent, friendly and informative staff. Mike was super knowledgable about the area and almost... More

Sailing out onto and exploring the bay of islands is a marvelous time. Beautiful landscapes and picturesque views in all directions. Bring some Dramamine in case it gets choppy at the far end of the trip. Great day on the lovely waters.

We had a wonderful day out on the Bay of Islands in the more than capable hands of Mike and Melissa. The weather was gorgeous, the boat was fantastic with plenty of space for the 16 travellers. Saw lots of dolphins, a couple of penguins and beautiful scenery. We were offered hot chocolate and biscuits, then delightful and healthy snacks,... More
