Rainbow Falls is a minute walk from the car park to the viewing platform. You can walk down the trail to pool at the bottom of the falls and continue along a pretty hike that follows the river. It seems to be a favorite for locals getting their morning exercise. The trek goes all the way to the KeriKeri basin.... More

A lovely place to visit, the Falls are absolutely breath taking, I totally recommend this place, a great walk, my 70 yr old dad in law was able to negotiate the walk.

I would highly recommend stopping at Rainbow Falls - the walk was short which was great for the kids with 3 different viewing areas on different levels. There is the option to go on a longer walk to and from the stone house area to Rainbow Falls but we chose the shorter walk with the kids. Loved it :)

As we were short on time we chose to drive to the carpark not far out of Kerikeri and take the short walk to each of 3 viewing platforms, although you can walk along the river fromThe Stonehouse and even swim at the base of the falls. NZ has many many waterfalls but to have such spectacular falls so accessible... More

3 platforms you can walk to easily. Easy to get to the bottom for a swim as well. Definite highlight in the Kerikeri region

We walked the 10k return from the car park near the Pear Cafe. The rain has cleared (glory be), it was a magnificent day and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't take a drink or have one when we got back, we walked at a good pace, so it's not arduous for a general level of fitness.

After visiting the Stone Store and the Kemp House, we decided to trekto the Rainbow Waterfall. We took a leisurely walk to the waterfall and back. It was a lovely walk along the river.

Beautiful scenery and worth the walk to the base of the falls. Viewing platform at street level if unable to walk down. Only wish we had more time to take the track alongside the stream.
