The Seppeltsfield Village is based around the unique and irreplaceable Seppeltsfield fortified wine collection. All our actions aim to meet the guiding principle of "sympathetic development" in harmony with Joseph and Benno Seppelts' original ideas. This means that whatever new activities we undertake at Seppeltsfield, they should respect both tradition and environment.

Hadn't been to Seppeltsfield since the changes to celler door & the new restaurant had been completed. What a difference. Absolutely stunning. Went on a historic tour with tour guide Terene a long term employee. Her enthusiasm for the history of this winery was infectious and our tour went well over time. Would recommend the tour only $15. Followed by... More

A very polished cellar door. Slick tasting, but a little impersonal given the numbers that come through. Quite lovely wines however. Fantastic setting.

Our stay at the lodge Country House (great place to visit) included a tour of the Seppeltsfield winery was well worth doing, covering the history of the area and the winery, and ending with a tasting.

The winery has had a big 'facelift' and become a modern setting with a historical backdrop. Great place for a summer lunch and wine tasting

We went on a tour of this winery, it takes you around the winery and you get to see all the old buildings and hear the history. Afterwards you get to taste some wines. There is also a small gift shop and beautiful restaurant, sadly the cafe was closed by the time we finished our tour. It is a lovely... More

Amazing location with great architecture and sense of history. Wine Tasting was run by a friendly, knowledgeable and unpretentious team. Tasting the 100yr old port is a must do activity.

Thank you for your feedback, I'll be sure to pass this along to the team. We certainly agree with tasting the 100 year old Para Vintage Tawny - where else in the world can you taste a wine from 1916! Kind regards, Nicole. More

This is a very old winery and the tour was a great insight into its history. We were taken to many of the old buildings, including the storage rooms. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting.

Always lots of people, crowded tastings and beware of the tasting costs. if you think 2 people tasting at $7 each means $14 off , if you buy a bottle, you are wrong.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Yes, we are very popular at the moment, especially on weekends. The design of our tasting 'PODS' serves to relieve this with large crowds, however at peak times it is still very busy. I have noted your concern regarding the premium wine flights and refunds on purchase, we will look... More
