I have visited the Isle of Wight many times before but by sea not Road and ferry. The consequent preoccupation with tides and weather seems to have suppressed or precluded seeing the great sites. But not anymore as those days have past. As a result...More

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon wandering round the castle. The donkeys were an added bonus and the donkey talk was interesting and entertaining and held the attention of all our family. It was our staff members first talk and she was brilliant. Children and...More

Overpriced for older people or persons who cannot climb up to the ramparts nice views and nice to walk about the castle but not a lot to see or do if you are not very physical . good for children and young people.

We really enjoyed this visit. Apart from the amazing architecture, history and grounds, the views are wonderful. And loved the friendly donkeys too!

Nice place, tidy and well presented to visitors. Enough to see and do for a few hours with young kids - probably not a full day trip.

The ground level is spectacular but the steps do get a little steep although handrails are also there if that would help.

You could cheerfully spend all day here! There is so much to see and do. BUT; it's weather-dependent. There is at least as much outside as inside, so go on a dry day if you want to appreciate the full experience.

There is only a charge to enter the castle as far as we could tell. All entertainment was included.
