Very nice church. There is a special light effect when you walk from the front aisle to the exit door. Look at the Virgin, you will see the lights shining around her head!

We walked around Cadaques and came across this beautiful church that overlooks the town. Did not manage to get inside as it was closed. Beautiful on the outside.

The alter is spectacular, and the view over the bay from the front of the cathedral is really special too. If the gate is locked, drop a Euro in the box on the left and open the gate on the far right.

Took the train from Girona, to Figueres, then the bus to Cadaques. Walked from the bus station up the hill to one of the highest points of the city. There is where the church is located. Besides a stunning alter inside the small church there...More

At just about the highest point in the town you do need to climb up to this. It is as are so many of these structures very beautiful. You don't need to be religious to appreciate the beauty. Some nice views over the harbour from...More

I knew in advance what to expect and was still blown away. For a comparatively small church in a seaside village, that altar is simply mind-blowing!

I spent a few days near this church, and I loved it's chimes ringing through the city to mark the time. A trip inside showed that it contains one of the most ornate and gorgeous gold altars I've ever seen. Absolutely worth a look, and...More

A beautiful example of a Baroque altar. Seen one church seen them all? No, they all have a different feel to them and their alcoves seem to shimmer.

Spectacular views from outside across the ay and rooftops of Cadaques, the walk up through the pretty cobble streets is worth it in itself. The church was closed and pitch dark!! Luckily I saw the box to the left as you enter, you can pay...More

Walk up the neat small streets to the church. It is free and only 1 euro to turn on altar lights. Good photo opportunities from outside the church of the city and harbor.
