A Euro will light up the spectacular altar and a kindly old chap will fill those minutes with explanatory details in Spanish or Catalan. An interesting point is that this church actively welcomes and has a chapel for, all other religious denominations.

Although closed when we were there, we cold still enjoy the courtyard and peer in to see the magnificent alter.

Up the side of this mountain is a monastery constructed by St Benedictine monks starting in the 10th century. Well worth the trip which is rewarded by views that are incredible. The monastery itself is an interesting historical artifact.

We were there on a Sunday morning so we decided to go to mass and what a treat. The alter is magnificent to look at and since my Spanish is so minimal I had no idea what the sermon was about I spent my time looking around the church. If you are not there during a service you can pay... More

Follow the winding streets & get a fabulous view from outside the church looking down over the sea & coastline. Go inside & see the art work which is interesting & just a little bit different ! The altar is worth seeing & is spectacular when a euro is put in the slot to light it all up .

Lovely church for a quiet reflective moment and also to try to make sense of the OTT altarpiece. Good views of the bay from outside. We also enjoyed an evening guitar recital here.

There's NOTHING that I did not like about Cadaques, including this beautiful little church. It occupies a central spot in the village. You can't miss it and it's worth a peek and a prayer! :-)

Not much else about the church to be honest although it does have a few impressive side chapels. However the altar itself is worth the visit.

You cannot avoid see the church especially as you arrive by boat. At one this was the only way to visit Cadaques and it must have been a welcoming sight as you approached the harbour. From the promontory outside the church, there are lovely views over the roof tops, out to sea. Inside the pilgrim would get an overwhelming sight... More

This church towers over the harbour of Cadaques surrounded by white buildings that give this town its special charm. The churchyard offers excellent views over those buildings and the many boats moored in the harbour. Inside are some charming model boats, relics and artefacts.
