The dunes and beach are beautiful. The further you walk, the quieter it gets. Some rocks in the water so watch out when tide is high. Waves can become quite strong.

The dunes cover a much larger area than you expect and are great to see. There are a few beaches to go to as well if you want if you want a swim.

Wonderful sandy beach. The water is clear, blue and the wawes are pretty high. The only bad thing about this pace is the wind. It's usper strong and with the combnation of the sand, its not very comfy.

Warm sand that your feet sinks into and sandy hills for miles, along with blue seas and rocks for viewing. Great experience.

Hi our cruise ship docks at Puerto del Rosario and I'd like to take my sons (9 and 11) on either a volcano trip (Camino Calderas) or to the sand dunes at Corralejo. Do you know of any good tours that would accomplish either of these from the ship? or is it possible to take a public bus from Puerto del Rosario to either location and do it ourselves?

Hi It depends on how long your ship is docked at puerto del rosario? Ideally you will need a whole day to visit Timanfaya national park as you would have to hop onto a ferry then a further 40 mins or so from playa Blanca to... More

You could take a bus from Puerto del Carmen to Playa Blanca and catch a ferry to Corralejo; which is (as of November) €27 return per person. Lots of shops to explore. I highly recommend a day here: From Corralejo: Take... More

You can walk there, I've seen a few people jogging in the morning from Corralijo. It's a 10 mins drive, so I would guess it's about a 30-40 minute walk. Never used the busses, but have been told they are quite good. A hire... More
