Since our first visit years ago the town has grown a lot. There are a lot of shops, bars and restaurants. It is now a bit too touristy for my tastes but the old town is still worth a visit.

Busy little port with trips over to Lanzarote and day excursions, not great beaches near the town, better to walk out to the dunes, but plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, quite a few designer type shops now appearing on the main street.

Some nice beach area, some not so nice. Eateries and shops a plenty - some quite upmarket at the top end of town. Harbour area a bit tired looking.

Nice port. You can catch the ferry to Lanzarote for a 35 minute crossing. Plenty of bars and good restaurants in the area. Seemed to be very popular with the surfers.

The walk from the marina to Toro on the beach restaurant is level and there are numerous bars and restaurants along the way to refresh yourselves at.

I agree with ‘John’. From our experience in July you shouldn’t have any real problems. Enjoy.
