This is a great place to explore and take in our beautiful mountains. A lot of places to hike. Beautiful views above Norton. You also get to see the Woodbooger and have picnic.

Picnic area & Campground
Jul 2019 • Solo
Great shelters and tables for a quick picnic or all-day event. Beautiful views at the overlook and upper campground area. Campground accommodates tents or RV and all sites have a power hookup available. Bathrooms and showers are very nice for a campground area, some campsites are a little close together but there’s still room for privacy!

We loved it!!!!!! (Upper campground)
Jul 2018 • Friends
We camped at the upper campground. The view was amazing. The campground was well kept, flat except for stairs down to the bathrooms/showers. The bathrooms were clean, showers were good. There was plenty of space, part was gravel- part grass. Picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit at each spot. There was a police patrol, once about park closing and once through the night. We hiked around, fished and watched an amazing sunset. We will be back!

Flag Rock - worth a trip
Jun 2018 • Solo
Flag Rock is worth a quick trip to see the flag above Norton. You can also visit High Knob Observation Tower on the same trip. Good motorcycle ride.

Wonderful!

Beautiful ride, challenging on a motorcycle, overlook was outstanding. We had nice weather, leaves were just turning. Be careful on the Woodbooger, can be treacherous.

Nice views with minimal hiking required.
Oct 2017 • Couples
A nice quick jaunt from Norton. Narrow paved road up the mountain with minimal shoulders; probably tough for RVs or campers. But great views overlooking downtown Norton. Bridge to the overlook was a bit dated and in need of repair (seriously - there was a date in the metal, 9/9/74). Continue along the road up to High Knob Tower for excellent 360 degree views.
