Despite knowing little about Robert Graves, I found the "casa de Robert Graves" to be the best thing I have seen in two months of travelling in Spain and Mallorca. The wonderfully well preserved rooms, the beautiful gardens, the painstakinly prepared and interesting and often...More

We visited in February and had the place to ourselves more or less, the house is a short walk from the town, just be careful crossing the road in busy times. We watched the video first, this gave us a good introduction to the man...More

The setting is beautiful and it is rare to visit a house that has such an intimate sense of place so as to give a real feel for the man and his life. If you're a fan, there is plenty to linger over. If not,...More

A giant of the literati and a wonderful house to remember him by. First an excellent video welcome from the man himself and no other visitors, we had the house to ourselves and it evoked all sorts of memories of my own classical education. His...More

Thank-you for the review. The best thing about the quiet January visits are the fantastic oranges which Miguel looks after so well. You were very fortunate to have some.

Most certainly worth a visit for a mellow amble back into the past - posible not great for children, but the gardens and simple style of the house are unique part of history here.

Not to be missed. The video shown before seeing the house is excellent and sets the scene well. Take time to see the house as there is a lot of detail to take in.

And listen to the video first, it puts the author and his house into context. Small personal house with wonderful garden. Both well worth seeing.
